Your Dream Website Is Just Four Weeks Away (And Here’s Exactly How We Make It Happen)
Can we talk about something for a minute? That nagging feeling you get when someone asks for your website and you either don’t have one yet, or you cringe a little because you know it’s not quite representing the incredible work you do? We see you.
We know that choosing a web designer can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure what the process actually looks like behind the scenes. That’s why we’re pulling back the curtain to give you the full breakdown of our signature 4-week process, from contract signing to launch day (and beyond).
What it’s really like to work with Caruso Creative (and why we do things differently)
When you hire us to design your website, you’re not just getting a pretty homepage and a few additional pages. You’re investing in a month-long, deeply collaborative process that’s built entirely around you, your brand, and those dream clients you can’t wait to work with.
Before We Even Begin: Setting the Stage
The moment you sign your contract, we’re already thinking about you. You’ll receive a welcome email, get added to our project calendar so you know exactly what to expect and when, and complete a detailed onboarding questionnaire that helps us understand your business, your goals, and your design preferences.
Oh, and there’s a little surprise heading to your door to help us celebrate the start of your project. Because honestly? Starting a website project should feel exciting, not stressful.
Week One: Onboarding & Strategizing
This is where the magic begins. We lay the foundation for everything we’ll build together.
What happens: You’ll receive your website kickoff email with a questionnaire (I promise it’s not as scary as it sounds) covering everything from domain details and Google Analytics to must-have features and sitemap planning. We’ll also ask you to create a Pinterest board (trust us on this one, it’s incredibly helpful for capturing your vision).
Then: We schedule a strategy session call to review your answers together. This isn’t just a checkbox conversation, it’s where we really dig into your business goals and make sure we’re aligned on the vision and creating something that feels authentically you.
If you’ve added copywriting: This is when Rachel our Brand & Website Copywriter steps in to start crafting copy that speaks directly to your ideal clients.
Week Two: Design Begins
Once your copy is finalized, the real fun starts: design officially begins.
What you’ll get: I create and send over your new custom desktop homepage. Each homepage is created from scratch and designed with your brand and dream clients in mind. This is your chance to see your vision come to life and make sure every detail feels right. You’ll be able to leave edits and comments via Pastel.
Typically, all revisions happen before we move forward from this step. We want to make sure you’re absolutely thrilled with your homepage before we build out the rest of your site.
Our favorite part: Sharing progress updates and sneak peeks on our Instagram Stories, because we genuinely love what we do and can’t help but show off your beautiful new design.
Week Three: Building Out Your Website
This is where your new website officially comes together.
What happens: We build out all your desktop pages, which are designed and refined in ShowIt, and we implement basic SEO including keyword strategy and on-site optimization.
If you’ve added advanced SEO: This is when our deeper optimization work begins, by Kelli our SEO Strategist, setting your site up for long-term search success.
Week Four: Launch Time!
This is when we bring everything across the finish line! Honestly, it never gets old seeing the excitement when everything comes together.
Launch week looks like:
- Your Mobile website design is built and reviewed
- Final design edits are made and SEO optimization is complete
- Your website domain is connected and officially goes live (eek!)
- We send you graphics for you to use for social media announcements
- You receive a tutorial video for how to navigate and update your new website
And because we know launching anything new can feel a little vulnerable, you get two full weeks of post-launch support, just in case anything pops up or if you have questions.
But We Don’t Just Leave You Hanging…
Post-Website Launch: Ongoing Support & Metrics
After your website is live and you’ve had a chance to settle in, we’ll check in with you at the 30-day mark to see how everything’s working for you.
Even after launch day, we stay in touch to make sure everything continues to run smoothly.
You’ll also receive:
- A thank-you email with a review request and referral information
- A feedback survey to help us improve future client experiences
- If you’ve added advanced SEO, performance reports at 30 and 90 days post-launch
